9/2/2010: This is so not my area of expertise, but it looks like Ducks basketball team has completely imploded. Last month they canceled an exhibition tour of Italy, unable to field a complete team. Now the last of Ernie Kent’s recruits may be bailing for Israel. Rumor has it that Coach Altmann will be accepting any registered student over 6-6 as a walk on. Perks include access to the Jock Box and free parking. At this rate it looks like they may not make Pat Kilkenny’s boisterous predictions of $16 million in new revenue from Matt Court. Or the EcoNorthwest prediction of $850,000, for that matter.
We hear lots of rumors about the Arena loading up on exhibitions to try and make up their revenue shortfall – including WWE cage-match wrestling.
