And the exodus of talent following the loss of the Hat continues.

That’s a leap to say that this is in any way linked to Lariviere’s firing.
Though undoubtedly adds to the leadership gap.

It is a tough gig when JH continues to recycle old stuff. It may be a good thing for the environment but not for a University to move forward.

Yes, look at her resume — 20 years at UO, working up from staff counselor to VPSA. Natural that having reached the top here, she might like a challenge elsewhere. No reason to panic about this. Plenty of reason to panic about any number of other things.

Have never been the least impressed with her. I wish her the best of luck in finding a new position.

Holmes is the longest-serving UO administrator at VP/Provost or above, by quite a bit.

    Everyone else started in (in order on that page): 2011, 2011, 2012, 2010, 2011, 2010, 2007 (Holmes), 2011, 2010, 2009.

Sure, Davis is part of the old guard, and Bean is a Frohnmayer guy, but that’s a lot of new blood. It sure *seems* like an opportunity for fresh thinking and new approaches (but presumably not a New Partnership).

She’s no longer listed on the VA Tech finalist info site — which now refers to only “two” finalists. .

Word on the street is that she got the raise she was looking for and withdrew. Can anyone verify?
