I’ve heard that John Evans simply wanted to move on — not a case of being forced out.

Meh, so what? Not that much of a loss in any event.

$5 a month for once a week blog posts? Wow. That’s only $10 less than the New Yorker.

John was a liability in a multitude of ways. The administration got it right in this case.

John has been an excellent addition to the OBF. He’s cosmipolitan and very informed about the larger world of music festivals; he helped bring a great new artistic director to Eugene. I’ve talked with several OBF donors who love him. Just to balance anonymous’s take on the situation. I don’t know the whole story but John Evans has been as a serious boost to the OBF.
