    My quick thoughts —

    1) UO is on the hook for paying for the two positions at the Mariota Center (at least they are statistics!) — nowhere in the contract is it limited to the Athletic Department. Nothing is mentioned about the funding source for this for the next five years.

    2) I don’t know of any case where access to CAS administration has increased student access to “Oregon employers”, as the College/Careers bldg handout says.

    3) The guaranteed tuition concept is interesting — but to have it implemented by December? That’s rather optimistic IMHO.

    4) Does CAS really offer no programs at the UO-Portland Center? (outside, uhh, prevention science).

    5) Absolutely no mention in the Sponsored Projects presentation on how to help faculty out more with the whole grant writing/managing process.

Thanks. The jock box agreement also had all kinds or requirements for staffing, etc. I think people assumed athletics would pay. Somehow the academic side did instead. Jim Bean claimed there was an agreement about this, but he never produced it.
