UW-Madison cops take student from class, jail him for anti-racist grafitti

Inside Higher Ed has the story here. Except for that one time in Sinaloa I’ve never been arrested, and I’ve got nothing but respect for the way the Federales and most cops handle a very tough job. But this video makes it pretty clear that there’s only one thing you should say when they tell you they’re just trying to help you out. It’s the same thing you should say to Doug Park when he asks you to come to Johnson Hall to talk about the presidential archives: Thanks, but I want to talk to a lawyer first. Lucky for this student he wasn’t using chalk.
