I heard that Law School Dean Michael Moffit might be looking for a new job.
Not qualified. Not even close.
WHAT??? How can you say that? Through his visionary leadership he has turned the law school into a “business school case study” and a strong competitor to CAS, all while showing only the faintest predilection toward legal education. Truly, he is come to save us all!

If you are listed above, have some DIGNITY and CLASS, and please don’t screw things up further. It’s as simple as saying “no thanks,” even if you did it before and “believe you can do it again.” No, hell no! And to #s 1, and 2, this is not the Walking Dead movie, please just leave the institution and the rest of us alone already…

Completely wild option — someone who will listen but not take any s**t and who will move hell and high water to get things done: Deb Morrison
Another option, but someone who has already done her time and given to the university in more ways than can count — but has respect and a demeanor that would be such a welcome change – Geri Richmond
How about someone who has shown throught the Union negotiations from what I can tell a steady objective and clear headed side (and this from someone who is anti-union still): Scott Pratt
Or someone who really understands this whole shared governance thing and has shown he can negotiate this place out of chaos: Robert Kyr
Finally – some from the sciences who appreciates the arts, but the science side might be a welcome balance to the entire VPR turmoil: Jim Hutchinson

Geri Richmond is the best suggestion yet in terms of integrity, diligence, and intelligence. Pratt also excellent. Coltrane good, not quite at their level.

Wow, I never thought I would agree with these suggestions, but i do. That said, it would take an act of God for some of these to occur. Can’t imagine GR stepping down from US Science Board to serve lowly UO as Provost, but stranger things have happened on this campus over the last 3-4 years…..
