Why didn’t OUS ask the UO faculty and Senate for feedback on Gottfredson’s performance?

This seems like the sort of information that the UO Trustees will want to have on hand, when they take control July 1. Gottfredson’s self evaluation is due June 1. The UO board’s academic committee meets this Th, 12:30PM in Hedco. From Gottfredon’s contract with OUS:

At many universities these reviews are public as a matter of best practices. The first year evaluation for President Eli Capilouto at the University of Kentucky is a good example. 44 page report here:

    The contract statement that the executive session will include discussion “the state of the university” is in direct violation of the Oregon public meetings law. The law allows closed sessions only for the employee evaluation part.

    Shouldn’t it be the students who have input into the evaluation? They’re the ones paying his salary …
