1/13/2012: This will make 8 years since Goldschmidt appointed him interim, never a search. Full letter here. Bad news for UO. It will be hard to hire a strong president who is willing to work for Pernsteiner. Our best hope now is to get the Lane County Delegation to get some sort of UO Board proposal through the legislature this session. Word is they are working on it.
Does Dr. P have to do any kind of performance evaluation to earn that fat paycheck (and free houses, and free food)?
I know some OUS workers, many that make 1/10th of his salary+benefits, who would be interested to find out what he actually does (aside from discrediting himself to an entire campus in the name of, ironically, punishing “a lack of trust”).
Pernsteiner? A weak, bitter brew with no head. Pricey too. Made me piss like a racehorse, then I puked all over Paul Kelly in the men’s room. And the hangover never ends.
Of course they retained Pernsteiner. They need a tool to endorse their incompetence.
I wish Pernsteiner and the Board all the best as they chart a course for the new OUS — one that after 2013 will no longer include the UO.
