4/21/2011: Mat Wolf in the ODE:
SEIU Chief Steward Gary Malone said he had received complaints about questionable behavior by one specific male DPS employee toward three individual female department employees during the last five years.
(I’ve had several comments on this situation. I don’t intend to post any until there are some documents.)
Without naming names this male employee happens to be a supervisor for the DPS and future police officer if the police bill passes. Pretty easy to figure out the ‘questionable behavior’ is likely sexual harassment. If this is the case and it is true isn’t it nice knowing your daughter going to school at U of O is being ‘protected’ by a department plagued with problems like this or worst yet is potentially having to interact face to face with a supposed sexual harasser? And they want guns? Hell no!!
DO NOT POST THIS: DPS is being investigated by BOLI for sexual harassment and covering it up by terminating a female officer that dared to complain about the harassment. fyi
That’s because, in an instance I witnessed, there is no documentation to be found. The arrest happened, but was never recorded.
Sexual harassment at DPS: Ask ODE reporter Mat Wolf for the document he obtained.
I don’t know anything about this, and it probably makes more sense for you to ask Wolf to post it, on the ODE site. Let me know what happens – I’d certainly post a link.
