    The sidewalk in front of my house is shoveled. It’s required by the Eugene City Code as well as by common decency to one’s fellow ducks.

    ROTC got this professor through college. And I didn’t have to tell my kids I spent the war shoveling shit in Louisiana.

      I deleted the 3 comments above after the person who started the thread with a rude anti-ROTC comment wrote and asked me to take down his comment. Done.

      Glad to see it. Apparently I wrote a letter to the Crimson in 1976, blasting their opposition to ROTC on campus. (Which I discovered by checking to see what googling myself turned up on the web.) Nice to see that it only took 36 more years to resolve the issue.
