5/1/2015 update: RETRACTION of “unlawful release”: UO Matters posts confidential faculty personnel records online

In response to an email from Johnson Hall alleging that my posting the photo on the left constitutes an “unlawful release” of confidential personnel records, I’m retracting the post, and publishing a redacted version of the records, on the right.

The post on the left was unlawful, I regret publishing it, and I apologize for any distress that my actions may have caused the assistant associate professor, or his family.

Teeth would be a HIPAA issue. I’ll have to run it by the director of the counseling center.

you know, that top picture still meets the standard of the professor being more suitably dressed for the classroom than (most of) the students, so it looks good to me. might be a little warm in the big McKenzie lecture halls for flannel, though. reminder, when you’re promoted to full, you’ll need to sew some patches onto the elbows of that robe.

Oh, do you have to be full to wear patches? I’m out of uniform! Call Tobin Klinger! Maybe we can have an “Around the ‘O’ Looks at Professorial Fashion” edition. Top 10, Coolest, Most Adorned with Branding Items, etc. I’m sure that would be a better use of time than what they’re normally doing anyway.
