    I will indeed be giving a “scholarly lecture” at this show (though with tongue firmly planted in cheek). It will be great fun!

    off topic, but am surprised no uom post on the UO tuition increase proposal and the complaints from students to Coltrane article in the rg last week.

    Yes, I was surprised at the >4 percent increase for both resident and nonresident tuition. What are we missing? or is this just a speed up of the high tuition, high aid model? UOs position to walk that tightrope is weaker than for more highly selective schools. Would be good to know more of the reasoning for the relatively steep increase.
