7/5/2012: Somewhere around middle school I stopped following directions. Mostly that’s worked out pretty well for me, particularly when it comes to research. But sometimes it causes trouble – for example with the state health plan “Health Engagement Conversations.” Dennis Thompson of the SJ says we have until 7/15 to tell our insurance company how we plan to become better people. I don’t think I got that email. So, if anyone has filled out this questionnaire and knows the answers, please post a comment. Thanks – and by the way, PEBB thinks I might need a little more scotch:
Dog says
1) nice Target dude UOmatters
2) I am not completely sure about any of this – and there have been uninformative emails from the PEEB people on this but if you look at your pay stub you will see this line item.
PEBB HEM Surcharge Pre-Tax ($35 per month).
This is somehow related to this WellNess crap (we work at the UO – how can we be Well?) and there might be a way to get rid of this charge if you jump through the WellNess hopes.
I don’t know anything more …
I didn’t think I had signed up for this, and it’s impossible to check from the Web site, but I asked PEBB and apparently I did sign up. I therefore had to complete “two online e-lessons each by July 15.” On the plus side, they’re clear and short (one was 10 minutes and the other about 2). On the minus side, the animation and cuteness-level are geared towards eight-year-olds. (The 10 minutes one conveyed information about diabetes that I could have gotten from 2 paragraphs of text, and I would have been spared the cartoon with insulin not winning ’employee of the month.’) Have fun…
I hope you printed out your “certificate”. Because my husband and I each completed two “lessons” geared to a 4-yr-old’s level in January. When I double-checked yesterday, only one showed completed for each of us. The nice lady at the 800 line that was in the reminder email said she couldn’t look and see what was wrong, and we should just each do another one. Counting connectivity issues, a total time-suck. Now I know to get it in writing…. P.S. try the closed captioning. It’s less painful :)
Hint: the e-lessons are hidden in a link to the left called “Self-Help”–they really don’t make this easy…and be careful, if you forget your password and guess a few times you will get locked out and have to call, and listen to a crazy voice mail about not leaving phone messages if you have e-mailed, and not e-mailing if you have left a voice message, and a few other not-to-do things if you have done some other things. Totally confusing…and then they don’t return your call for a while. Such a time sink, but then yes, this is UO. 4-year old video format is a little insulting…just icing on the cake!
