UO releases 2013-14 Clery Act report on campus fires and sexual assaults

After the Freyd survey on UO rape and institutional betrayal, and the news reports on the astonishing lengths the UO administration went to keep the basketball rape allegations (and what else?) out of these reports, it’s hard to take them very seriously, but there is some presumably reliable data on dorm fires in the report, here.

There’s no stats on the number of people mentioned in the bowl of dicks list. I’m highly offended!!!

So…we pay for an armed police force because the majority of offenses on campus are for non-violent alcohol and drugs violations?

Radical idea here: why not try to get students to focus on studying and not drinking? Learning and not partying?

But given that we are 4 days into the new term and this covers our last academic year, can we not at least applaud that things are coming out faster and are more public? Yes, let’s dig into that data and see what it says…..But for all of the slams on here about not providing it, let’s applaud that it is here!

At least no guns were involved… or hate.

Disturbing, particularly in light of the b-team allegations, does not begin to describe this.
