I think this is what Hurwit referred to at the Senate forum in Feb when suggesting that unionization is not the answer, but instead we should all embrace “the freedom movement” (- free from unions, free from public accountability, free to kiss up to the administration, free to raise lots of private money, oh, with an independent board… hmm, I prefer a more critical take, the corporatization movement)? But maybe at UO there would be a Knight’s council to beat back faculty unionization efforts.
