What exactly is a “perspective athlete”?
Taking another person’s perspective is very difficult, particularly when they are trying hard to hold on to it while running downfield and everyone is yelling. Those who are good at this are highly sought after by UO as prospective “perspective athletes”.

Considering the embarrassingly patronizing and condescending nature of the most recent graphic marketing campaign for women’s basketball–in which the players all appear dressed as princesses–I think this position is actually entirely necessary and appropriate.
