Phil Knight stands out for his $250K contribution for Kitz, and nothing for Brown. Despite this, Brown did fly to Doha, to deliver Kitzhaber’s promise of $40M in state tax money to subsidize the UO/Knight unsuccessful bid for the 2019 World Track Championships. “First, Secretary of State Kate Brown, the second highest ranking official ….”:
It sure would be interesting to see what UO’s presidential archives have, or don’t have, on this bid, for which UO Foundation Chair Paul Weinhold was prepared to mortgage UO to the hilt.
