Such an oddly written article. It stated more than once that they thought one of her most noteworthy accomplishments was sitting in an audience while Langston Hughes performed. It reads like someone bragging that they went to a Pearl Jam concert. Hughes is mentioned on three different occasions throughout the article, and a slightly more relevent DuBois is mentioned 7 times. How about spending time writing something nice about what Byrd did, instead of the men she met?

Maybe you should read the article more closely?
