Oregon man persuades state DOJ to pay $115 for his vote

In Willamette Week, here:

“… Bridges was wearing an ankle monitor in the Fred Meyer parking lot, because he was out on bail on previous charges for burglary. He told the officers he was not aware that selling his ballot was illegal. …”

And why would he think it would be illegal to sell his vote for rent money when Facebook and Google are making billions from selling adds to politicians to produce the same effect, but without any benefit to the voter?
