Ah, Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett’s sidekick. What a madcap idea — rooms with no natural lighting, no natural ventilation — just what we need to get us through the next pandemic, just what is needed for student mental health. $1.5 billion dollars — more than $300K per student — I guess this is called affordable housing at UCSB. It will probably make the awful fortresses going up in Eugene look almost like quaint dollhouses.
I will give Phil credit, his own madcap ideas — the Phildo, the images supposedly in the JockBox — come with visually striking architecture, about the only examples on the UO Campus (I’m including the “Knight Campus” with the “UO Campus”) — in fact, about the only commercial examples in all of Eugene.
